Wow, what a week....

After a couple of good nights of sleep with the aid of Pain Relief PM, and waking up foggier than with a hangover but it doesn't last long, my endorphin high is beginning to dissipate, but the memories of what I experienced are becoming clearer. Everyone I tell about my adventure has been amazed at the pics and amazed that an Old Fart did it!

I had a productive week for the state I was in, working with more passion and purpose than I have in a long time. While waiting for my dear friend to show up at her barber shop yesterday (hours are, whenever she gets there to whenever she feels like going home), I had a quiet moment of contemplating the snow dusted peaks surrounding me and came to a realization, I'm a different man now after having faced my demons, my fears, my anxieties, and my phobias about my ski abilities, and pushing my envelope further than I ever thought possible. I DID IT!!! Linda is excited about taking the next year to cut my hair in preperation of my "Plake" do just before I fly to The Chugach next March, she'll even paint my nails to match my blue Mohawk, anything to appease the Blue Bird God of Fly Days! I'm going to shoot for two weeks next year, in hopes of getting just a couple more bumps up into those gorgeous mountains and the time to savour it in between during the "activity days."

I'm still waiting for Dr. Bill's pics with anticipation, and Keenan said he'd send me some video as soon as he finds time to download it to a CD for me. This site should get even more entertaining when I get that on here, and I'll keep loading up furniture and other pics to share with you all.

Stay tuned,
Hugh
