I saw my doc today, the knee's just fine on the x-ray, aspirated 2 oz's out of it, pulled it, poked it, kept squeezing until it hurt, and pronounced me fit to dream of another year in The Chugach!! Yea! I purposely didn't see him before hand, fearing his advice and determined to fulfill my dream if it killed me. The thought of another couple of days up in those mountains will get me through the heat and keep me workin' hard and striving to get even more fit, so I can hit those slopes even harder next year!
Talked with a dear friend who's career is about minds, he said my high is very natural after the experiences I had last week, ride the wave until it breaks, and pop out the other side and do it again. He's an old surfer, envious I can still do what I love, but he understood my passion completely.
This site's still a work in progress, and I don't have too much time to work on it and I still need help finishing it, but I will!
